Orlean Ophelia Bauman
​January 31, 1949- January 7, 2024

Orlean served as a member of several chapter committees and became chapter president in 2006. From 2003-2005, she served Tennessee as the chair of the High School Essay Committee, chair of Communications Committee from 2005-2007, was a member of the Leadership Development Committee from 2007-2009, then chaired the same committee from 2009-2011. In 2011 she began her service as the State Editor and did so for the next ten years. After that, she served as Tennessee State Second Vice President from 2021-2023 and was currently serving as Tennessee State First Vice President. At the International Level, Orlean served as Editor of the International Convention Newsletter during the 2016 International Convention in Nashville. She published three full-color newsletters for all convention attendees – on time and under budget. In 2019, Orlean was awarded the Tennessee State Achievement Award.
