Alpha Rho Grant-in-Aid/Scholarship

A $100.00 Grant-In-Aid/Scholarship is awarded each year to a woman teacher from Hickman, Lewis, Perry, or Wayne County for one of the following purposes:
1) attend a seminar, workshop, or professional meeting
2) initiate a new classroom practice
3) purchase a new workbook, textbook, or instructional materials
4) implement a new teaching strategy.  

​Applications are due to the Scholarship Committee by March 31st of each year.

High School Essay Contest

Alpha Rho Chapter sponsors an annual High School Essay Contest for students of Hickman, Lewis, Perry, and Wayne Counties.  Students follow guidelines established by the Xi State High School Essay Contest. Prize amounts are $25 first place, $15 second place, and $10 third place.  This event is overseen by the Alpha Rho Scholarship Committee.  Entries are due to the Scholarship Committee by March 1 of each year.
